Migranti, i vincitori del Premio Jerry Masslo
Si ĆØ conclusa a Villa Literno (Caserta) la terza edizione del premio āJerry Massloā organizzato dalla Flai Cgil nazionale. Ecco i vincitori. Per la sezione scuole, āSenza piĆ¹ gabbieā del Liceo artistico di San Leucio. Per le tesi di laurea vince Alberto Giuliani con il suo lavoro sul caporalato āIntermediazione illecita e sfruttamento del lavoro. Disciplina penale”. Infine, per la sezione āscrittura migranteā assegnati due premi ex-equo: uno per l’opera āA casa Brescia non risponde nessuno” di Sarah Zuhra Lukanic, l’altro a āTuā, opera teatrale scritta dallāattore Ruffin Ndoh.

Tre giorni di iniziative promosse dalla Flai Cgil nel ricordo del bracciante agricolo sudafricano ucciso nel 1989 nelle campagne del Casertano. Un appuntamento per affrontare i temi dellāaccoglienza, del lavoro e dei diritti dei migranti
Si aprirĆ a Napoli il 28 ottobre la Terza Edizione del Premio Jerry Masslo, promosso dalla Flai Cgil. Nel nome e nel ricordo del bracciante agricolo sudafricano ucciso nel 1989 nelle campagne del Casertano. Un appuntamento per affrontare i temi dellāaccoglienza, del lavoro e dei diritti dei migranti.
“Nel 1989 con l’uccisione di Jerry Masslo l’Italia si scoprƬ razzista e violenta ma contemporaneamente fece uscire allo scoperto la coscienza di quanti volevano dire no alla barbarie, volevano vedere quello che magari rimaneva invisibile, come lo sfruttamento lavorativo, il calpestio dei diritti, la discriminazione razziale”, si legge in una nota della Flai Cgil.
“Purtroppo Masslo non fu l’unica vittima, ma a piccoli passi la societĆ civile tutta si ĆØ mossa, ha compreso, ha agito e agisce – prosegue la nota – Per contribuire in questo percorso di memoria, di denuncia e azione contro le ingiustizie, la Flai Cgil ha istituito dal 2010 il Premio Jerry Masslo, a cadenza biennale e nei luoghi nei quali Masslo visse in Italia. Questāanno dal 28 al 30 ottobre avremo tre giorni di iniziative, con dibattiti, approfondimenti, incontri con le realtĆ dellāassociazionismo locale ed esperienze di Sindacato di
strada. Il 30 ottobre a Villa Literno la giornata conclusiva e le premiazioni”.
Il Premio dal titolo āVilla Literno, 25 agosto 1989 – Lampedusa, 4 ottobre 2013 MAI PIUā! Dallāaccoglienza, allo sviluppo, alla salvaguardia del territorio: Il mediterraneo come ponte di accoglienza tra Africa ed Europa, nel quale la globalizzazione ĆØ diritto al cibo, allāacqua, alla salute, senza sfruttamento e ricattiā ha registrato la partecipazione di numeri concorrenti in tutte e tre le sezioni, scuole, universitĆ , autori stranieri che scrivono in lingua italiana o producono elaborati di altro tipo quali video, foto, ecc.
Anche questāanno la Flai Cgil intende promuovere, partendo dalle scuole, una cultura della legalitĆ , del rispetto e della considerazione del lavoro, quale āluogoā dei diritti e della dignitĆ e non dello sfruttamento. Il primo giorno, il 28 ottobre, il Premio si aprirĆ a Napoli presso la Stazione Marittima alle ore 15.30 con il convegno āIl Mediterraneo come mare di accoglienza ponte tra Africa ed
Europa. Per questa edizione la Flai presenterĆ anche una canzone inedita, “Oltre il mare”, che sarĆ la colonna sonora del Premio.

L’iniziativa della Flai Cgil dedicata alla figura del bracciante sudafricano ucciso nel 1989 nelle campagne di Villa Literno. Il 15 ottobre la scadenza per presentare gli elaborati, la premiazione il 28-29-30 ottobre
Al via la terza edizione del premio “Jerry Masslo”, indetto dalla Flai Cgil, che si terrĆ in Campania il 28, 29 e 30 ottobre. Il premio, istituito nel 2010, ĆØ dedicato alla figura del bracciante sudafricano che fu ucciso nel 1989 nelle campagne di Villa Literno.
Con questa inziativa la Flai Cgil “intende invitare al confronto e alla riflessione sui temi del lavoro migrante, dei diritti negati e del dramma di chi cerca nel nostro Paese la salvezza e troppo spesso trova morte e sfruttamento, nel 1989 come oggi”.
Il titolo di questa edizione collega la ricorrenza dei 25 anni dalla morte di Masslo con i fatti drammatici di Lampedusa dello scorso ottobre: “Villa Literno, 25 agosto 1989 – Lampedusa, 4 ottobre 2013 MAI PIUā! Dallāaccoglienza, allo sviluppo, alla salvaguardia del territorio: il mediterraneo come ponte di accoglienza tra Africa ed Europa, nel quale la globalizzazione ĆØ diritto al cibo, allāacqua, alla salute, senza sfruttamento e ricatti”.
Il premio si articola in tre sezioni: la prima per le scuole; la seconda per studenti universitari laureati o laureandi in materie umanistiche, sociali ed economiche che presenteranno la migliore tesi di laurea sulla funzione degli immigrati nel mercato del lavoro; la terza dedicata ad autori stranieri che scrivono in lingua italiana o producono elaborati di altro tipo quali video, foto, ecc.
Gli elaborati dovranno pervenire alla segreteria del Premio entro il 15 ottobre 2014. Per il bando, le modalitĆ di partecipazione e lāinvio degli elaborati si rimanda al sito della Flai Cgil.
Migranti/Lavoro. Il 28 ottobre si apre a Napoli il Premio Jerry Masslo
MartedƬ 28 ottobre, a Napoli la Terza Edizione del Premio Jerry Masslo, promosso dalla Flai Cgil. I lavori del Premio si apriranno a Napoli presso la Stazione Marittima alle ore 15.30 con il convegno āIl Mediterraneo come mare di accoglienza ponte tra Africa ed Europaā, interverranno, tra gli altri, Tommaso Sodano, Vicesindaco di Napoli; Stefania Crogi, Segretario Generale Flai Cgil Nazionale; il Vice Ministro dellāInterno, Filippo Bubbico; Khalid Chaouki, deputato Pd; Vera Lamonica, Segretario Nazionale Cgil.
Il secondo giorno, mercoledƬ 29 ottobre, a Castel Volturno, presso il Centro di Formazione del Corpo Forestale dello Stato, si svolgerĆ la tavola rotonda āNutrire il pianeta coltivando i dirittiā.
Il terzo ed ultimo giorno ci sarĆ un omaggio sulla tomba di Jerry Maslo, presso il cimitero di Villa Literno, e nel primo pomeriggio la Premiazione dei vincitori della Terza Edizione del Premio.
Nel nome e nel ricordo del bracciante agricolo sudafricano ucciso nel 1989 nelle campagne del casertano, la Flai Cgil dĆ appuntamento per affrontare i temi dellāaccoglienza, del lavoro e dei diritti dei migranti. Diritti negati e sfruttamento, che rimane oggi in tante, troppe, campagne italiane e che si manifesta attraverso il caporalato, il lavoro nero, il sottosalario.
Per contribuire in un percorso di memoria e di denuncia contro le ingiustizie presenti, la Flai Cgil ha istituito dal 2010 il Premio Jerry Masslo, a cadenza biennale e nei luoghi nei quali Masslo visse in Italia.

Immigrati: Flai-Cgil, governo non vuole risolvere problema “Eliminare piaga sommerso nel lavoro agricolo”
(ANSA) – NAPOLI, 28 OTT – – ”Se non c’ĆØ la volontĆ politica di affrontare il problema del lavoro dei migranti, vuol dire che si ĆØ conniventi”. E’ quanto afferma il segretario generale della Flai- Cgil Stefania Crogi, intervenuta alla terza edizione del “Premio Jerry Masslo”, il giovane immigrato ucciso nel 1989 a Villa Literno dalla criminalitĆ organizzata. Per la Crogi ”chi governa ha sempre delle responsabilitĆ ” e “se il Governo Renzi vuole far ripartire il Paese deve eliminare la piaga del sommerso nel campo del lavoro agricolo”. “Bisogna partire dal mercato del lavoro attuando riforme che coinvolgano i migranti”, ha aggiunto il segretario della Flai-Cgil. Riforme che āsono a costo zero”. La Crogi ha parlato di ”totale esclusione” dalle politiche del lavoro delle “popolazioni migranti” ed ha criticato la legge Bossi-Fini, che – ha affermato – ”lega la permanenza nel Paese alla possibilitĆ di lavorare”. La Flai-Cgil chiede al Governo che ”ci sia un periodo congruo che consenta ai migranti di trovare lavoro e che, a chi denuncia azioni di sfruttamento, sia garantito un permesso di soggiorno temporaneo senza la paura di cadere nel reato di clandestinitĆ ”. Secondo i dati della Cgil, in Italia, sono 400mila i lavoratori stranieri irregolari impiegati nel settore dell’agricoltura di cui circa 100 mila costretti a subire forme di ricatto lavorativo e a vivere in di promiscuitĆ in immobili fatiscenti e nell’ impossibilitĆ di accedere ai servizi igienici ed all’acqua. III edizione del Premio Masslo per combattere le discriminazioni razziali
La Federazione Lavoratori Agro-Industria (Flai-Cgil) indice la terza edizione del Premio Masslo che si svolgerĆ nei giorni 28/29/30 Ottobre 2014. Il Premio,
istituito per ricordare lāomicidio di Jerry Essan Masslo, rifugiato sud africano, ucciso nelle campagne di Villa Literno il 25 agosto 1989, dove lavorava come bracciante, vuole essere unāoccasione per educare ai temi dellāaccoglienza, dellāintegrazione, della convivenza civile, incoraggiare al dialogo e promuovere lo sviluppo di una societĆ fondata sul rispetto della diversitĆ .
Attraverso il Premio Masslo la Flai-Cgil si propone di valorizzare il lavoro degli immigrati in Italia, con singolare riguardo allāambito dellāagricoltura; comprendere il vissuto quotidiano dei lavoratori e delle lavoratrici migranti; infondere nelle nuove generazioni la necessitĆ del contrasto a ogni forma di razzismo e sensibilizzare lāopinione pubblica per favorire il processo di inclusione sociale delle minoranze.
Il bando di concorso ĆØ aperto alle scuole di ogni ordine e grado della regione Campania, studenti universitari (laureandi e laureati) e video-documentaristi. ll tema di questa edizione ĆØ: Villa Literno, 25 agosto 1989 ā Lampedusa, 4 ottobre 2013 ā MAI PIU!Dallāaccoglienza, allo sviluppo, alla salvaguardia del territorio: il Mediterraneo come ponte di accoglienza tra Africa ed Europa nel quale la globalizzazione ĆØ diritto al cibo, allāacqua, alla salute, senza sfruttamento nĆ© ricatti.Il Premio si articola in 3 sezioni; la prima ĆØ riservata alle scuole elementari, medie e superiori che possono partecipare presentando elaborati di gruppo (di classe e/o di istituto); la seconda sezione ĆØ riservata agli studenti universitari laureati o laureandi in materie umanistiche, sociali ed economiche che presentano la migliore tesi sul ruolo degli immigrati nel mercato del lavoro italiano; la terza sezione ĆØ riservata agli autori stranieri che presentano opere ed elaborati in lingua italiana: neo giornalisti, autori di videogrammi, saggi, poesie, narrativa, prosa, pubblicati nel biennio 2013/2014, fotografi e blogger le cui produzioni riguardano tematiche attinenti al bando.La giuria sarĆ composta da esperti, docenti, giornalisti e sociologi, i cui nomi saranno resi noti sul sito web www.flai.it entro il 05 ottobre 2014. Questi sceglieranno tra le proposte pervenute entro il 15 ottobre 2014, data di scadenza del bando, quelle da reputarsi maggiormente confacenti con lo spirito del Premio Masslo. Nella valutazione per lāattribuzione del Premio la giuria terrĆ conto dellāimpegno delle scuole sul fronte dellāintegrazione e della serena convivenza tra gli alunni di origini diverse.I partecipanti dovranno fare pervenire alla segreteria del Premio Masslo gli elaborati e le opere unitamente alla domanda di partecipazione compilata in ogni sua parte e recante la firma autografa del proponente. Quanto alle scuole, la scheda di partecipazione al concorso dovrĆ essere compilata dal dirigente scolastico. Il

Immigrati: Flai Cgil, difesa legalita’ e diritti con Premio Jerry Masslo
Villa Literno, 22 ott. – (Adnkronos/Labitalia) – Torna a Villa Literno il Premio Jerry Masslo. La seconda edizione del premio, intitolato al bracciante sudafricano ucciso nel 1989, ĆØ stata presentata oggi alla Casa dei diritti della Flai Cgil di Villa Literno ‘Jerry Masslo’. Alla presentazione hanno partecipato Ivana Galli, segretario nazionale Flai Cgil; Camilla Bernabei, segretario generale Cgil Caserta; Giuseppe Carotenuto, segretario generale Flai Campania; Angelo Paolella, segretario generale Flai Caserta; Jean RenĆØ Bilongo, coordinamento immigrati Flai Cgil. “Intendiamo dare continuitĆ a un percorso che fa della legalitĆ e dell’integrazione punti fondamentali di tutta la nostra attivitĆ sindacale”, ha spiegato Ivana Galli, motivando la scelta di una seconda edizione del Premio. “Anche quest’anno -ha detto Galli- la campagna del tesseramento Flai ha avuto come parole chiave āLegalitĆ Diritti QualitĆ ā, quest’ultima intesa come qualitĆ dei prodotti e soprattutto qualitĆ del lavoro. Si ĆØ conclusa, dopo tre giorni di fitti appuntamenti, la Seconda edizione del Premio dedicato a Jerry Masslo, promosso dalla Flai Cgil a Villa Literno. Stefania Crogi, Segretario Generale della FlaiCgil, e Thenjiwe E. Mtintso, Ambasciatore plenipotenziario del Sudafrica, hanno premiato i vincitori della edizione 2012.
Nella sezione dedicata alle scuole, per le Scuola Primaria ha vinto il disegno dell’Istituto comprensivo Rodari-Annecchino di Pozzuoli; per le Secondarie di primo grado ha vinto il video dell’Istituto comprensivo di Castel Volturno Centro; e per le scuole Superiori di secondo grado ha vinto l’elaborato della IV B del Liceo Margherita di Savoia di Napoli.
Per la migliore tesi di laurea ha vinto Annalisa Di Gilio con una tesi su lavoro e mediazione nel mercato del lavoro; mentre per la Sezione speciale dedicata ad autori stranieri che hanno prodotto elaborati in italiano ĆØ stata premiata la raccolta di poesie di Rosanna Crispim.
Infine, l’edizione ha visto il riconoscimento del Premio Jerry Masslo 2012 per il documentario di AdamYameogo eJeanYameogo,”Lo sfruttamento degli immigrati in Puglia. Caporalato e raccolta dei pomodori”. Il documentario, ha spiegato la giuria, “merita il riconoscimento non solo perchĆ© racconta le terribili condizioni di vita e di lavoro degli immigrati africani nel foggiano, ma perchĆ© le rappresenta dall’interno, mostrando aspetti del loro lavoro che difficilmente avrebbero potuto essere ripresi da un occhio esterno”.
Stefania Crogi ha evidenziato l’importanza di “aver svolto tutte le iniziative relative a Premio 2012, proprio nel territorio di Villa Literno, dove trovĆ² la morte Jerry Masslo, perchĆ© qui anche con il premio, che ha visto una straordinaria partecipazione da parte dei giovani delle scuole, ĆØ stato dimostrato che la cultura dell’integrazione e del rispetto possono essere una pratica quotidiana”.

Jerry Essan Masslo fu solo il primo morto ammazzato in quella lunga scia di sangue che punteggia la storia dellāimmigrazione in Italia. Al giovane sudafricano che pagĆ² con la vita la difesa dei pochi spiccioli guadagnati in dure ore di lavoro seguiranno in tanti: i 283 naufraghi della Io han al largo di Portopalo e le anime risucchiate nel Canale di Sicilia, nei cui bassifondi andrebbe eretto un monumento al migrante ignoto; i sei africani falciati dal piombo dei casalesi nella strage di Castel Volturno, il 18 settembre del 2008, che ci piace ricordare per i loro nomi e cognomi che nessuno hamaimemorizzato:ighanesiKwameAntwiJuliusFrancis,AffunYeboaEric,Christopher Adams, El Hadji Ababa e Samuel Kwako del Togo, il liberiano Jeemes Alex.
Un luogo particolarmente simbolico e sfortunato, il casertano, dove la sorte ha voluto che lasciasse la vita anche Miriam Makeba, la cantante sudafricana che aveva rappresentato la voce di tanti tra quegli immigrati. Ć giusto che il premio che la Flai-Cgil ha indetto nelle terre che hanno il colore dei pomodori e del sangue di chi li raccoglie per pochi euro al giorno, giunto alla seconda edizione, rimanga intitolato allāuomo il cui sacrificio per primo spinse la politica e la societĆ italiane a prendere coscienza di un fenomeno fino ad allora ignorato.
Era il 1989 e seguiranno una enorme manifestazione antirazzista e un movimentoāØdāopinione che condurranno alla prima legge sullāimmigrazione nel nostro paese, che porterĆ il nome dellāallora ministro dellāInterno Claudio Martelli. Solo, bisognerebbe aggiungere delle sottotitolazioni: ai morti della Iohan e della Kater I Rades, a quelli della sartoria Obi Obi Fashion di Varcaturo.
Chi scrive ĆØ stato invitato a far parte della giuria del premio.Giudicheremo studenti delle scuole primarie e secondarie, scrittori madrelingua, studenti universitari. GiĆ qualche anno f a, per una serie di racconti sul quotidiano il manifesto dal titolo Made in Italy, mi era capitato di avere a che fare con uno sguardo sullāItalia che non era quello che vediamo quotidianamente sui nostri mezzi di comunicazione. Leggere di come le ragazzine africane sognino di avere la pelle bianca delle loro coetanee italiane, o vedere il nostro paese attraverso il filtro di un operaio rumeno vittima di un incidente sul lavoro, consentiva delle finestre su unāItalia che, per larghi aspetti, non conosciamo piĆ¹.
Per fare un parallelo, ĆØ come quando i film, i grandi fotografi e la letteratura neorealista dal dopoguerra a tutti gli anni 60 fecero scoprire al Nord il dolore e la disperazione del Sud Italia, un mondo che non avevano mai avuto modo di vedere e verso il quale nutrivano piĆ¹ di un pregiudizio. Tutto ciĆ² non frenĆ² il razzismo allora, e magari nemmeno oggi lo farĆ , perĆ² costituƬ un argine, una barriera alla sua avanzata, nonostante le ascese leghiste e i rigurgiti neofascisti. Ć un effetto che solo la conoscenza, la cultura, poter guardare negli occhi le persone e capire le loro ragioni possono dare.
A Caserta si ragiona di lavoro e migranti
āQuesta terra ĆØ anche la miaā ĆØ il tema della seconda edizione del Premio āJerry Massloā, che si svolgerĆ a Villa Literno da lunedƬ 22 a mercoledi 24 ottobre. Il premio ĆØ dedicata al bracciante sud africano (nella foto) ucciso nel 1989 nelle campagne casertane ed ĆØ rivolto alle scuole, ai laureati e ai giornalisti che producano un elaborato sulle tematiche del lavoro dei migranti e integrazione nel tesuto economico e sociale italiano. Organizzato dalla Flai Cgil si svolgerĆ dal 22 al 24 ottobre. Il tema: “Questa terra ĆØ anche la mia terra”. Il premio ĆØ rivolto alle scuole, a scrittori madrelingua e a studenti universitari
Parte oggi, 22 ottobre 2012, la seconda edizione del Premio “Jerry Masslo”, promosso dalla Flai Cgil e dedicato al bracciante sudafricano ucciso il 25 agosto del 1989 nelle campagne di Villa Literno. Masslo fu un rifugiato sudafricano in Italia, assassinato da una banda di criminali. La sua vita e la sua morte smossero l’opinione pubblica italiana e portarono ad una riforma della normativa per il riconoscimento dello status di rifugiato. Il premio avrĆ luogo fino al 24 ottobre, tra Villa Literno e Castel Volturno. Il tema scelto per questa edizione ĆØ “Questa terra ĆØ anche la mia terra” ed ĆØ rivolto alle scuole, a scrittori madrelingua e a studenti universitari.
Si tratterĆ di un appuntamento dai risvolti sociali estremamente importanti, che quest’anno vede un programma ricco di incontri ed iniziative interessanti, tra i quali segnaliamo: Il 22 ottobre alle ore 10.00: convegno “Il volto femminile del lavoro migrante con l’intervento di Vera Lamonica, Segretario nazionale Cgil; dopo la Conferenza stampa alle 17.30 si svolgerĆ un fiaccolata fino al Cimitero di Villa Literno dove ĆØ sepolto Jerry Masslo. Il 23 ottobre alle ore 6.00 del mattino: Sindacato di strada, nei luoghi di ritrovo dei lavoratori; alle 15.00: Convegno “Beni confiscati, beni per il territorio”; alle 19.00 spettacolo teatrale “Voci di lavoro”. Il 24 ottobre alle ore 11 presentazione del libro “La buona terra” di Gianni Solino; alle ore 15.00 assegnazione del Premio Jerry Masslo Edizione 2012. Il 24 parteciperĆ alla presentazione del libro e alla premiazione Stefania Crogi, Segretario Generale Flai Cgil. Inoltre sono previsti incontri con familiari delle vittime innocenti di camorra, una visita guidata alla Cooperativa Sociale “Al di lĆ dei sogni” i Sessa Aurunca che partecipa al progetto “Facciamo un Pacco alla Camorra”, una visita guidata a “La casa di Alice”, bene confiscato alla camorra, un omaggio a Miriam Makeba (la cantante sudafricana conosciuta come “Mama Africa” per il suo impegno contro l’apartheid, morta a Castel Volturno durante un concerto “solidale”) con deposizione di fiori sulla Monumento dedicato alla sua memoria. E ancora: una cena multietnica nelle “Terre di Don Peppe Diana” con l’associazione “Libera”, un’assemblea pubblica con i lavoratori migranti e molto altro ancora. Tre giorni dedicati alla memoria non solo di Jerry Masslo, ma di tutti quelli che hanno combattuto e combattono ancora per la legalitĆ , per la paritĆ di diritti e per una vera uguaglianza fra gli uomini. Tre giorni dedicati a portare all’attenzione dell’opinione pubblica le condizioni di lavoro e di vita di quanti ancora oggi (soprattutto migranti) subiscono soprusi ed ĆØ reso schiavo.

(Labitalia) -Āā La tre giorni della Flai Cgil per la seconda edizione del Premio Jerry Masslo si ĆØ aperta oggi, a Villa Literno, con un convegno sulla condizione delle donne lavoratrici migranti. Per Ivana Galli, segretario nazionale della Flai Cgil, ĆØ stato importante aprire “questa edizione del secondo Premio Jerry Masslo, dedicando un incontro alle donne e al lavoro, con voi, con le tante lavoratrici straniere che nel nostro Paese vogliono costruire un futuro, per loro e magari per i loro figli: un piccolo-Āāgrande sogno come quello che aveva Jerry Masslo”.
Jerry Masslo era un rifugiato sudafricano che fu barbaramente ucciso, nel 1989, dentro un capannone di Villa Literno, dove si trovava per raccogliere i pomodori. Al convegno della Flai Cgil si ĆØ parlato di donne immigrate e sono stati ricordati alcuni dati che hanno mostrato come la presenza femminile straniera nel mercato del lavoro non sia una presenza marginale, rappresentando ben il 41% dei lavoratori immigrati.
In agricoltura le donne extracomunitarie impiegate regolarmente sono il 18%, cui vanno aggiunte tutte coloro che lavorano in nero, senza contratti e senza tutele. Al convegno, sono state protagoniste le lavoratrici migranti attraverso la testimonianza di Radu Ioana e Hasna Guettaya, due giovani lavoratrici della Romania e del Marocco che hanno raccontato le difficoltĆ di essere donne e straniere, ma anche un percorso fatto di integrazione e di incontro con il sindacato e quindi un percorso di consapevolezza dei diritti. Con loro anche Fatou Matabintou del sindacato senegalese.
Ha concluso i lavori Vera Lamonica, segretario confederale Cgil, che ha ricordato come sia importante che una iniziativa come questa sia avvenuta in una scuola, “parlandoci e confrontandoci e applaudendo tutti insieme per le stesse cose”. “Le donne -Āā ha ricordato Lamonica-Āā sono un grande veicolo di integrazione da sempre”.

CASERTA -Āā āQuesta terra ĆØ anche la mia terraā: ĆØ questo il tema della seconda edizione del Premio āJerry Massloā promosso dalla Flai Cgil. che si terrĆ il 22, 23 e 24 ottobre 2012 a Villa Literno (Caserta). Il premio, che ha visto lo svolgimento della Prima edizione nel 2010, ĆØ dedicato al bracciante sudafricano ucciso nel 1989 nelle campagne di Villa Literno ed ĆØ rivolto alle scuole, agli scrittori madrelingua e a studenti universitari.
Oggi, lunedƬ, alle ore 15.00, a Villa Literno, nella Casa dei Diritti della Flai Cgil (Via Vittorio Emanuele III, 212), si terrĆ la conferenza stampa di presentazione delle tre giornate alla quale parteciperanno Gino Rotella, Segretario Nazionale Flai Cgil, Camilla Bernabei, Segretario Generale Cgil Caserta, Giuseppe Carotenuto, Segretario Generale Flai Cgil Campania, Angelo Paolella, Segretario Generale Flai Cgil Caserta.
IL PROGRAMMA -Āā SarĆ un programma particolarmente ricco: dopo la conferenza, infatti, alle 17.30 si svolgerĆ un fiaccolata che partendo dalla Casa dei Diritti Jerry Masslo, giungerĆ fino al Cimitero di Villa Literno dove ĆØ sepolto Jerry Masslo. Alle ore 21.00 la serata terminerĆ con una cena multietnica, a cura della cooperativa Terre di Don Peppe Diana -Āā Libera Terra e con una sfilata di moda etnica/brand “Made in Castel Volturno” a cura della cooperativa sociale “Altri Orizzonti”.
ZINZI -Āā Il 23 ottobre alle ore 6.00 del mattino sarĆ attivato il āSindacato di stradaā, nei luoghi di ritrovo dei lavoratori; alle 9.30 saranno deposti dei fiori sulla tomba di Miriam Makeba; alle 12.00 si svolgerĆ un’assemblea pubblica con i lavoratori immigrati; alle 15.00 si riprenderĆ , presso l’Aula Consiliare della Provincia di Caserta con il Convegno āBeni confiscati, beni per il territorioā, presieduto da Giuseppe Carotenuto, al quale parteciperĆ il Presidente della Provincia di Caserta,e Domenico Zinzi.
LA PREMIAZIONE -Āā Alle 19.00 concluderĆ la serata lo spettacolo teatrale āVoci di lavoroā, presentato dalla compagnia “Fuori Terra”, presso l’Hotel Holiday Inn Resort di Castel Volturno. Il 24 ottobre, presente Stefania Crogi, Segretario Generale Flai Cgil, alle ore 11.00, sarĆ presentato il libro āLa buona terraā di Gianni Solino, presso la Cooperativa Sociale “Al di lĆ dei sogni” di Sessa Aurunca; parteciperanno all’evento, con l’autore, oltre a Stefania Crogi, Franco Tavella, Segretario Generale Cgil Campania, la giornalista Tina Cioffo e Thenjiwe E. Mtintso, ambasciatore plenipotenziario del Sudafrica in Italia. Nella seconda giornata dedicata al Premio Jerry Masslo 2012, la FLAI CGIL ha organizzato nella Provincia di Caserta il dibattito “Beni confiscati, beni per il territorio” sul tema del destino e del riutilizzo dei beni e delle aziende confiscate alla criminalitĆ .
Ivana Galli, segretario nazionale della FLAI CGIL, ha evidenziato come “i beni confiscati potrebbero rappresentare una grande opportunitĆ di lavoro e di sviluppo del territorio, tuttavia tali opportunitĆ si scontrano con problemi e criticitĆ che vanno superati. Sequestro, confisca e assegnazione del bene sono fasi che hanno tempi troppo lunghi, tali, spesso, da condannare alla chiusura l’attivitĆ – soprattutto se pensiamo ad aziende agricole e dell’agroalimentare – e la perdita di lavoro per quanti vi erano occupati. La nostra proposta e’ quella di un piano di interventi affinchĆ© in tempi brevi i beni siano riconsegnati alla collettivitĆ e diventino modello di sviluppo legale, come giĆ accaduto in alcune realtĆ ”.
Serena Sorrentino, segretario nazionale CGIL, ha concluso i lavori, sottolineando che “sommerso, evasione, illegalitĆ economica valgono nel nostro Paese il 31% del Pil, circa 540 miliardi di euro secondo l’Eurispes. Il caso dei beni confiscati nel settore agricolo e agroalimentare e la gestione del mercato del lavoro connesso a questi settori, dimostrano che ci sono tanti giovani ‘non tanto schizzinosi’ e tanti genitori con sempre meno tutele sociali che lavorano in condizioni troppo speso irregolari, talvolta in schiavitĆ¹. Questi settori sono un pezzo importante del nostro sistema produttivo, traino delle esportazioni ed andrebbero adottate misure efficaci per combattere l’illegalitĆ e generare lavoro dignitoso”.

E’ cominciata oggi la tre giorni di Villa Literno dedicata quest’anno alle donne immigrate. Il premio ĆØ stato istituito in onore di Jerry Masslo, un rifugiato che vennebarbaramente ucciso nelle campagne di Villa Literno in provincia di Caserta. Nel mercato del lavoro le donne non sono una presenza marginale, rappresentando ben il 41% dei lavoratori immigrati.

Si ĆØ aperta oggi a Villa Literno (Caserta) la tre giorni della FLAI CGIL per la seconda edizione del Premio Jerry Masslo, con un convegno sulla condizione delle donne lavoratrici migranti. Jerry Masslo era un rifugiato sudafricano che fu barbaramente ucciso, nel 1989, dentro un capannone di Villa Literno, dove si trovava per raccogliere i pomodori. Al convegno della FLAI CGIL si parlerĆ in particolare quest’anno di donne immigrate e sono stati ricordati alcuni dati che hanno mostrato come la presenza femminile straniera nel mercato del lavoro non sia una presenza marginale, rappresentando ben il 41% dei lavoratori immigrati.
Ivana Galli, segretario nazionale della FLAI ha spiegato che ĆØ stato importante aprire “questa edizione del secondo Premio Jerry Masslo, dedicando un incontro alle donne e al lavoro, con voi, con le tante lavoratrici straniere che nel nostro Paese vogliono costruire un futuro, per loro e magari per i loro figli: un piccolo-grande sogno come quello che aveva Jerry Masslo”.
In agricoltura le donne extracomunitarie impiegate regolarmente sono il 18%, cui vanno aggiunte tutte coloro che lavorano in nero, senza contratti e senza tutele. Al convegno, sono state protagoniste le lavoratrici migranti attraverso la testimonianza di Radu Ioana e Hasna Guettaya, due giovani lavoratrici della Romania e del
Marocco che hanno raccontato le difficoltĆ di essere donne e straniere, ma anche un percorso fatto di integrazione e di incontro con il sindacato e quindi un percorso di consapevolezza dei diritti. Con loro anche Fatou Matabintou del sindacato senegalese.
Ha concluso i lavori di oggi Vera Lamonica, segretario nazionale CGIL, che ha ricordato come sia importante che una iniziativa come questa sia avvenuta in una scuola, “parlandoci e confrontandoci e applaudendo tutti insieme per le stesse cose”. “Le donne – ha ricordato Lamonica- sono un grande veicolo di integrazione da sempre”.
La manifestazione proseguirĆ anche domani e mercoledƬ, con vari interventi. E’ previsto, tra gli altri, l’intervento del segretario generale della CGIL campana, Franco Tavella e del segretario generale della FLAI, Stefania Crogi.
25/10 –Ā Un video contro il caporalato vince il Premio Jerry Masslo
Dopo tre giorni di fitti appuntamenti, si ĆØ conclusa mercoledƬ pomeriggio la Seconda edizione del Premio dedicato a Jerry Masslo, promosso dalla Flai Cgil a Villa Literno. La cerimonia di premiazione si ĆØ tenuta alla presenza di Sua Eccellenza Thenjiwe E. Mtintso, Ambasciatore plenipotenziario del Sudafrica.āØPer le scuola primaria ha vinto il disegno dell’Istituto comprensivo “Rodari-ĀāAnnecchino” di Pozzuoli; per le secondarie di primo grado ha vinto il video dell’Istituto comprensivo di “Castel Volturno Centro”; e per le superiori di secondo grado ha vinto l’elaborato della IV B del Liceo “Margherita di Savoia” di Napoli. Il premio per la migliore tesi di laurea ĆØ andato ad Annalisa Di Gilio, che ha presentato un elaborato su lavoro e mediazione nel mercato del lavoro; mentre per la sezione speciale dedicata ad autori stranieri che hanno prodotto elaborati in italiano ĆØ stata premiata la raccolta di poesie di Rosanna Crispim.
Premio Jerry Masslo 2012 al documentario di Adam Yameogo e Jean Yameogo “Lo sfruttamento degli immigrati in Puglia. Caporalato e raccolta dei pomodori”. Il lavoro, si legge nella motivazione, “merita il riconoscimento non solo perchĆ© racconta le terribili condizioni di vita e di lavoro degli immigrati africani nel foggiano, ma perchĆ© le rappresenta dall’interno, mostrando aspetti del loro lavoro che difficilmente avrebbero potuto essere ripresi da un occhio esterno”.
Stefania Crogi ha evidenziato l’importanza di “aver svolto tutte le iniziative relative a Premio 2012, proprio nel territorio di Villa Literno, dove trovĆ² la morte Jerry Masslo, perchĆ© qui anche con il premio, che ha visto una straordinaria partecipazione da parte dei giovani delle scuole, ĆØ stato dimostrato che la cultura dell’integrazione e del rispetto possono essere una pratica quotidiana”.
Un’idea condivisa dal Sindaco di Villa Literno Nicola Tamburrino, che ha presenziano alle cerimonie di apertura e chiusura, ricordando come in questo territorio sia stato compiuto un “importante lavoro per l’integrazione degli immigrati nel tessito sociale delle popolazioni residenti: anni fa Villa Literno era la terra di chi aveva ucciso Jerry, ora ĆØ il paese che custodisce e ricorda il suo sacrificio e organizza, insieme alle organizzazioni che se ne occupano da vicino, tanti momenti di educazione alla convivenza civile, nel ricordo del sacrificio di Masslo”.
24/10 – Fiaccolata per Jerry Masslo e Giuseppe Rovescio
In occasione della Seconda Edizione del Premio Jerry Essan Masslo, organizzato dalla Flai Cgil, a Villa Literno si ĆØ tenuta una fiaccolata in memoria del rifugiato Sudafricano morto il 25 agosto 1989 nel corso di una rapina. Sono intervenuti rappresentanti delle istituzioni e delle Forze dell’Ordine, oltre a centinaia di bambini delle scuole liternesi. Una corona di fiori ĆØ stata deposta sulla tomba di Jerry, un’altra sulle tombe degli “invisibili”, gli immigrati senza nome morti a Villa Literno e ai quali l’amministrazione comunale ha donato una sistemazione decorosa.
Toccante momento di raccoglimento anche sulla tomba di Giuseppe Rovescio, giovane liternese che nove anni fa perse la vita nel corso di un agguato camorristico a causa di un fatale scambio di persona: il padre ha ricordato con i presenti la sofferenza di quei giorni e lo sforzo compiuto da familiari e amici per ricominciare una vita normale.
Nella mattinata, sempre a Villa Literno, nei locali della tensostruttura di via Carducci, adiacente la Scuola Media, la manifestazione era stata aperta dal convegno “Il volto femminile del lavoro migrante”, con la partecipazione del Segretario Nazionale Cgil, Vera Lamonica. Alle manifestazioni ĆØ intervenuto anche il Sindaco di Villa Literno Nicola Tamburrino, ricordando come la comunitĆ liternese negli ultimi vent’anni abbia saputo riscattarsi dallo stereotipo dell’intolleranza, diventando invece centro di accoglienza e confronto fra italiani e stranieri.
Il Premio Masslo si concluderĆ a Villa Literno mercoledƬ, sempre nei locali di via Carducci, dove, a partire dalle 15, sarĆ deliberata l’assegnazione dei riconoscimenti nelle varie categorie in gara: tesi di laurea su migranti e integrazione nel tessuto economico (sezione UniversitĆ ), elaborato su integrazione e convivenza civile (scuole superiori), tema su razzismo e xenofobie (scuole medie), disegno, fumetto o rappresentazione grafica sul tema della convivenza (scuole elementari), poesia, racconto, articolo di stampa, produzione video sulla quotidianetĆ dei migranti (sezione speciale).

Caporalato e raccolta dei pomodori”, si ĆØ conclusa la tre giorni della Seconda edizione del Premio dedicato a Jerry Masslo, promosso dalla Flai Cgil a Villa Literno.
Il documentario vincitore dellāedizione 2012, ha spiegato la giuria, “merita il riconoscimento non solo perchĆ© racconta le terribili condizioni di vita e di lavoro degli immigrati africani nel foggiano, ma perchĆ© le rappresenta dall’interno, mostrando aspetti del loro lavoro che difficilmente avrebbero potuto essere ripresi da un occhio esterno”.
A fare da sfondo alla manifestazione conclusiva, svoltasi nella tensostruttura dellāIstituto Comprensivo āLeonardo da Vinciā di Villa Literno, alcune coreografie etniche, eseguite dagli allievi della scuola primaria e della secondaria di II grado. Il momento, particolarmente significativo, ha fornito unāulteriore dimostrazione che tra le giovani generazioni il razzismo ĆØ un fenomeno in estinzione, alimentato, talvolta, dal pregiudizio e dai luoghi comuni. La presenza massiccia e attiva di giovani, interattivi e consapevoli, ha espresso, infatti, concretamente la sinergia tra ragazzi di varie etnie.

CASERTA 22/10 – E’ iniziata oggi a Villa Literno (Caserta) la seconda edizione del Premio “Jerry Masslo” promosso dalla Flai Cgil: una tre giorni dedicata al tema dell’ immigrazione nel ricordo del bracciante sudafricano ucciso nel 1989 nelle campagne tra Villa Literno e Castel Volturno, zona in lo sfruttamento del lavoratore straniero, quasi sempre irregolare e senza contratto, assume contorni drammatici.
Secondo gli ultimi dati, sarebbero oltre 10mila gli extracomunitari privi del permesso di soggiorno presenti nell’area, dato rispetto al quale ha rappresentato un flop la recente sanatoria prevista dal Governo (appena 3000 richieste presentate nel Casertano, ndr). Non ĆØ un caso che il tema scelto per il Premio sia ‘Questa terra e’ anche la mia terrĆ . “Per migliaia di immigrati – afferma Jean RenĆ© Belongo, dirigente nazionale della Flai-Cgil da anni in prima linea nella battaglia per la legalitĆ sul litorale domizio – Castel Volturno e Villa Literno rappresentano quasi una seconda patria in cui perĆ² non hanno alcun diritto. Questa tre giorni servirĆ , speriamo, a sensibilizzare le istituzioni e l’opinione pubblica sull’importanza che l’inserimento nel tessuto sociale degli immigrati puĆ² avere per l’intero territorio casertano”. FLAI-CGIL: Premio Jerry Masslo, a Casal di Principe incontro con le famiglie delle vittime di camorra
(AGENPARL) – Roma, 24 ott. —Ā Nell’ambito delle iniziative del Premio Jerry Masslo 2012, questa mattina a Casal di Principe presso l’Universita della LegalitĆ e dello Sviluppo, la Flai Cgil ha incontrato i familiari delle vittime di camorra. Un incontro toccante cui ha preso parte anche Thenjiwe E. Mtintso, ambasciatrice del Sudafrica, che ha voluto comunicare tutta la sua vicinanza ai familiari delle vittime, assicurando che racconterĆ in Sudafrica le loro storie. Stefania Crogi, Segretario Generale della Flai Cgil, nell’intervento ha ricordato “l’importanza di mantenere la memoria, anche se con dolore, affinchĆ© la violenza non possa vincere. E’ necessario unire i nostri sforzi perchĆ© si puĆ² cambiare”.

(Adnkronos/Labitalia) -Āā-Ā La tre giorni della Flai Cgil per la seconda edizione del Premio Jerry Masslo si ĆØ aperta oggi, a Villa Literno, con un convegno sulla condizione delle donne lavoratrici migranti. Per Ivana Galli, segretario nazionale della FlaiCgil, ĆØ stato importante aprire “questa edizione del secondo Premio Jerry Masslo, dedicando un incontro alle donne e al lavoro, con voi, con le tante lavoratrici straniere che nel nostro Paese vogliono costruire un futuro, per loro e magari per i loro figli: un piccolo-Āā-Āā-Āāgrande sogno come quello che aveva Jerry Masslo”.
Jerry Masslo era un rifugiato sudafricano che fu barbaramente ucciso, nel 1989, dentro un capannone di Villa Literno, dove si trovava per raccogliere i pomodori. Al convegno della Flai Cgil si ĆØ parlato di donne immigrate e sono stati ricordati alcuni dati che hanno mostrato come la presenza femminile straniera nel mercato del lavoro non sia una presenza marginale, rappresentando ben il 41% dei lavoratori immigrati.
In agricoltura le donne extracomunitarie impiegate regolarmente sono il 18%, cui vanno aggiunte tutte coloro che lavorano in nero, senza contratti e senza tutele. Al convegno, sono state protagoniste le lavoratrici migranti attraverso la testimonianza di Radu Ioana e Hasna Guettaya, due giovani lavoratrici della Romania e del Marocco che hanno raccontato le difficoltĆ di essere donne e straniere, ma anche un percorso fatto di integrazione e di incontro con il sindacato e quindi un percorso di consapevolezza dei diritti. Con loro anche Fatou Matabintou del sindacato senegalese.
Ha concluso i lavori Vera Lamonica, segretario nazionale Cgil, che ha ricordato come sia importante che una iniziativa come questa sia avvenuta in una scuola, “parlandoci e confrontandoci e applaudendo tutti insieme per le stesse cose”. “Le donne -Āā-Āā-Āā ha ricordato Lamonica-Āā-Āā-Āā sono un grande veicolo di integrazione da sempre”.
(ANSA) – ROMA, 17 GEN – Il caporalato un reato penale.Ā QuestoĀ l’obiettivo di una proposta di legge predisposta dalle categorieĀ Cgil degli edili e dell’agricoltura, Fillea e Flai, che sarĆ Ā presentata lunedƬĀ 24 gennaio a Roma alla presenza del segretarioĀ generale Susanna Camusso nell’ambito della campagnaĀ ”STOPCAPORALATO”. ”Attualmente – spiegano Flai e Fillea – questo crimine,Ā particolarmente diffuso in agricoltura e in edilizia e in cuiĀ sono coinvolti centinaia di migliaia di lavoratori, soprattuttoĀ migranti privati di ogni diritto e ridotti in schiavitĆ¹, vieneĀ punito con una sanzione amministrativa di appena 50 euro”. PerĀ combattere questo fenomeno, sempre piĆ¹ā diffuso e sempre piĆ¹āĀ controllato dalla criminalitĆ organizzata, Fillea e Flai,Ā insieme alla Cgil, propongono, ”al paese e alle forze politicheĀ di inserire nel codice penale il reato di caporalato e diĀ perseguire penalmente chi sottopone i lavoratori alloĀ sfruttamento e alla riduzione in schiavitĆ¹”.

OGGI SANZIONE DA ‘APPENA’ 50 EURO PER OGNI INGAGGIATO
(ANSA) – ROMA, 24 GEN – Le categorie Cgil degli edili eĀ dell’agricoltura, Fillea e Flai, insieme alla ConfederazioneĀ lanciano la campagna dal titolo ‘Stop caporalato’, conĀ l’obiettivo di inserire nell’ordinamento penale il reato diĀ caporalato, che, invece, oggi ”e’ punito in caso di flagranza –Ā fanno sapere le due organizzazioni – con una sanzioneĀ amministrativa di appena 50 euro per ogni lavoratoreĀ ingaggiato”. A questo scopo Fillea e Flai hanno messo a puntoĀ una proposta di legge: ”l’affidiamo alle forze politiche edĀ alle commissioni parlamentari – spiegano – con la convinzioneĀ che si possa in breve tempo giungere ad un testo condiviso eĀ alla sua rapida approvazione”. (ANSA) – ROMA, 24 GEN – Tra campi e cantieri sono circaĀ 550.000 le persone che in Italia lavorano sotto caporale. SonoĀ questi i numeri che emergono dalle stime della Flai-Cgil, cheĀ per il settore agricolo ne calcola 400 mila, e dellaĀ Fillea-Cgil, che per l’edilizia ne conta almeno 150 milaĀ (ANSA).

A causa della crisi,Ā dell’assenza di investimenti, della frammentazione e del sistemaĀ di gare al massimo ribasso, esse hanno potuto investireĀ indisturbate denaro da ripulire e proprie imprese”, spiega laĀ Fillea-Cgil. (ANSA) – ROMA, 24 GEN – Le sanzioni penali per chi sfrutta laĀ manovalanza ci sono giĆ e il Ministero del Lavoro – in una notaĀ – ”evidenzia che proprio in tema di somministrazione e
intermediazione illecita di manodopera e’ da ultimo intervenutoĀ proprio il Decreto legislativo n. 276/2003 (di attuazione dellaĀ legge Biagi) che, all’art. 18 comma 1, prevede sanzioni di
carattere penale anche e soprattutto per fronteggiare ilĀ fenomeno del caporalato”.
Il Ministero si riferisce alle notizie emerse oggi inĀ occasione dell’assemblea nazionale dei quadri e dei delegatiĀ Flai e Fillea. ”E’ stato presentato un documento di propostaĀ legislativa – ricorda il Ministero – volto ad introdurreĀ specifiche sanzioni di natura penale per contrastare il fenomenoĀ del caporalato. Da quanto si apprende, coloro che sonoĀ intervenuti all’assemblea hanno infatti denunciato l’assenza diĀ adeguate sanzioni di carattere penale, evidenziando invece laĀ sola applicabilitĆ di una ‘sanzione amministrativa di 50 euro
al giorno per chi si dedica allo sfruttamento dellaĀ manovalanza”’. Il Ministero pero’ ricorda che la legge Ā stabilisce: in caso di somministrazione illecita la penaĀ dell’ammenda di 50 euro per ogni lavoratore occupato e per ogniĀ giornata di lavoro. Se vi e’ sfruttamento dei minori la pena ĆØĀ dell’arresto fino a 18 mesi e l’ammenda ĆØ aumentata fino alĀ sestuplo; in caso di intermediazione illecita la penaĀ dell’arresto fino a sei mesi e dell’ammenda da 1500 a 7500 euro.Ā Se non vi ĆØ scopo di lucro la pena ĆØ dell’ammenda da 500 euroĀ fino a 2500. Se vi ĆØ sfruttamento dei minori la pena ĆØĀ dell’arresto fino a 18 mesi e l’ammenda ĆØ aumentata fino alĀ sestuplo.(ANSA).

MULTA E’ IRRISORIA: VALE 50 EURO PER LAVORATORE INGAGGIATO
(ANSA) – ROMA, 24 GEN – Cinquanta euro. E’ la multa cheĀ pagano, se sorpresi in flagrante, i ‘caporali’, quei mercanti diĀ braccia che sulle piazze dei paesi del sud o nelle periferiaĀ urbane ingaggiano lavoratori, spesso per pochi euro, daĀ destinare ai lavori agricoli e nei cantieri edili. Ma ora quellaĀ sanzione amministrativa ”di appena 50 euro per ogni lavoratore
ingaggiato” deve diventare reato penale, chiedono i sindacatiĀ di categoria degli edili e dell’agricoltura, Fillea e Flai, eĀ tutta la Cgil. E per questo hanno messo a punto una proposta diĀ legge, affidata ”alle forze politiche e alle commissioniĀ parlamentari, con la convinzione che si possa in breve tempoĀ giungere ad un testo condiviso e alla sua rapida approvazione”Ā ”Bisogna riconoscere la natura di reato: la tratta delleĀ persone, qualsiasi sia la sua forma, ĆØ un reato”, ha detto ilĀ segretario generale della Cgil, Susanna Camusso, parlando all’Ā assemblea nazionale dei quadri Flai e Fillea, dove ĆØ stataĀ presentata la proposta di legge. Ne consegue, ha aggiunto, Ā l’esistenza di un ”problema di appalti, subappalti, criminalitĆ Ā organizzata” che, insieme al caporalato, ”riguarda l’ItaliaĀ sia che del nord che del sud”.Ā Le sanzioni penali ci sono giĆ , replica perĆ² il ministeroĀ del Lavoro. La legge – viene ricordato in una nota – stabilisceĀ che ”in caso di intermediazione illecita c’e’ l’arresto fino aĀ sei mesi e un’ammenda da 1.500 a 7.500 euro. Se non c’ĆØ scopoĀ di lucro l’ammenda va da 500 euro fino a 2.500. E se c’ĆØĀ sfruttamento dei minori, ĆØ previsto l’arresto fino a 18 mesi,Ā mentre l’ammenda e’ aumentata fino al sestuplo”.Ā Secondo le stime di Flai-Cgil, sono 400mila i lavoratori inĀ agricoltura che vivono sotto caporale, e 60mila di loro vivonoĀ in condizioni di assoluto degrado, in alloggi di fortuna eĀ sprovvisti dei minimi requisiti di vivibilita’, come ha messo inĀ luce il caso di Rosarno, un anno fa. Stesso ordine di grandezza, grosso modo, per il settore edilizio: secondo la Fillea, sonoĀ 400mila i lavoratori in nero o sotto ricatto, cui viene chiestoĀ di aprire la partita Iva, di dichiarare meno ore lavorate (conĀ fuori busta in nero), di ricorrere ai permessi in caso diĀ infortunio non grave. ”Negli ultimi anni – scrive la Fillea –Ā abbiamo assistito a una forte espansione degli interessi delleĀ organizzazioni criminali. A causa della crisi, dell’assenza diĀ investimenti, della frammentazione e del sistema della gare alĀ massimo ribasso, esse hanno potuto investire indisturbate ilĀ denaro da ripulire e l’ultimo grande business ĆØ quello dellaĀ gestione della manodopera: si stima che almeno 150mila siano iĀ lavoratori gestiti dai caporali”.
Se a tutto cio’, spiegano poi i due sindacati, si aggiunge laĀ connotazione sempre extracomunitaria della manodopera occupataĀ nelle campagne e nei cantieri e l’introduzione del reato diĀ clandestinitĆ , ne emerge un elemento di ricatto formidabile neiĀ confronti di questi lavoratori, impossibilitati a denunciareĀ l’irregolaritĆ lavorativa perchĆØā immediatamente perseguitiĀ penalmente per il reato di clandestinitĆ e automaticamente
espulsi dal Paese. Contro il fenomeno del caporalato anche le organizzazioniĀ agricole Cia e Coldiretti. Il lavoro nero rappresenta una formaĀ di concorrenza sleale e inaccettabile, afferma la prima, mentreĀ Coldiretti ricorda che dal 31 gennaio potranno essere inviate le
istanze per l’assunzione regolare di quasi centomila lavoratoriĀ extracomunitari sulla base del decreto flussi varato dalĀ Consiglio dei ministri, e questo servirĆ da efficace contrastoĀ al fenomeno del caporalato e del lavoro nero. (ANSA).
LAVORO: CIA, COMBATTERE CAPORALATO, NUOCE A IMPRESE SANE
(ANSA) – ROMA, 24 GEN – E’ assolutamente prioritaria laĀ dignita’ del lavoro, nelle sue varie forme, sia quello deiĀ lavoratori dipendenti sia quello delle imprese sane rispettoĀ alle quali il ”lavoro nero” rappresenta una forma diĀ concorrenza sleale e inaccettabile. Lo afferma laĀ Cia-Confederazione italiana agricoltori in occasione dellaĀ presentazione della campagna ”Stopcaporalato” promossa dalleĀ categorie degli edili (Fillea) e dell’agroindustria (Flai) della
Cgil che si e’ tenuta oggi a Roma.Ā La stessa Cia ha partecipato all’iniziativa con unaĀ delegazione composta da Sandro Salvadori, della GiuntaĀ nazionale, e da Claudia Merlino, responsabile della RelazioniĀ sindacali. ”Un segnale – sottolinea l’organizzazione agricola –Ā dell’importanza che riveste la lotta ad un fenomeno che vaĀ combattuto con estrema forza e con la massima determinazione”.Ā La Cia ritiene inoltre che la proposta di legge, rilanciata oggiĀ dalla Cgil, di inserire nell’ordinamento giudiziario nazionaleĀ il reato di caporalato ”sia meritevole di considerazione e diĀ approfondimento”.Ā La Cia condivide inoltre l’esigenza, espressa dal segretarioĀ generale della Cgil Susanna Camusso, di una modificaĀ dell’attuale legge sull’immigrazione. Vanno rimossi – concludeĀ la Cia – quei meccanismi che hanno creato inutili rigidita’ e,Ā di fatto, favorito l’aumento di forme irregolari di lavoroĀ (ANSA).
LAVORO: COLDIRETTI, 100MILA ASSUNZIONI CONTRO CAPORALATO
(ANSA) – ROMA, 24 GEN – Dal 31 gennaio potranno essereĀ inviate le istanze per l’assunzione regolare di quasi centomilaĀ lavoratori extracomunitari sulla base del decreto flussi varatoĀ dal Consiglio dei Ministri e questo servira’ da efficaceĀ contrasto al fenomeno del caporalato e del lavoro nero. E’Ā quanto afferma Coldiretti in riferimento alla denuncia di Flai eĀ Fillea Cgil sul caporalato in Italia. Ā La quota maggiore di 52.080 e’ assegnata – sottolinea laĀ Coldiretti – a cittadini provenienti da Paesi che hanno sottoscritto specifici accordi di cooperazione in materiaĀ migratoria impegnati in tutti i settori produttivi, tra i qualiĀ prevalgono perĆ² agricoltura, turismo ed edilizia. Tra questi,Ā maxi quote sono riservate ad Egitto, Albania, Marocco, Moldavia,Ā Tunisia, Filippine e Sri Lanka. Una altra quota rilevante diĀ 30.000 unitĆ – continua Coldiretti – e’ destinata al soloĀ lavoro domestico sempre per cittadini provenienti da Paesi cheĀ hanno sottoscritto specifici accordi di cooperazione in materiaĀ migratoria. Ā ”Con la trasparenza e la legalita’ – continua Coldiretti – siĀ puo’ spezzare la catena di sfruttamento che sottopaga il lavoroĀ e il suo prodotto come dimostrano i tanti esempi virtuosiĀ presenti nelle campagne italiane dove lavorano regolarmenteĀ circa 90mila immigrati extracomunitari, dei quali circa 15milaĀ con contratti a tempo indeterminato”. ”Su un territorio che puo’ offrire grandi opportunita’ di
crescita e lavoro – conclude Coldiretti – va garantita laĀ legalita’ per combattere inquietanti fenomeni malavitosi cheĀ umiliano gli uomini e il loro lavoro e gettano una ombra su unĀ settore che ha scelto con decisione la strada dell’attenzioneĀ alla sicurezza alimentare e ambientale”Ā (ANSA).

Evidentemente il ministro vive in un altro Paese”.Ā Lo dichiara in una nota il responsabile welfare e lavoroĀ dell’Italia dei Valori, Maurizio Zipponi, commentando le parole
del ministro del Lavoro.Ā ”Il governo – aggiunge l’esponente dipietrista – non haĀ fatto nulla per contrastare un fenomeno gravissimo che colpisceĀ migliaia di lavoratori. Anzi, con le sue politiche scellerate,Ā l’esecutivo ha incentivato l’evasione fiscale, la precarieta’,Ā le gare di appalto al ribasso e la violazione sistematica dellaĀ legge, utilizzata come unica prassi per concorrere sulĀ mercato”(ANSA).
